Description 
MATERIALS: Cotton cloth. CONSTRUCTION: Handblock printed, resist chemical dyed. made in two parts and stitched together.. MOTIFS: Chuni border, jharmar, kharek, chuni no thar and gul. COLOURS : black, maroon and orange.. STYLE REMARKS: All the prints are traditional to this piece. Patterns seem to be based on Bandhani. Same design is also done in yellow instead of orange. CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE: Worn by Maldhari, jats and Meghvals for everyday. The name for the piece varies per community. Jats call this piece Matheran while Maldharis and Meghvals call it Gandhi. CULTURAL REMARKS: Originally head covering was patterned with Bandhani. Bandhani was block printed before dying. Block printsd were later introduced as cheaper alternatives. Matheran.
