Description 
MATERIALS: Cotton cloth, cotton threads. CONSTRUCTION: Hand stitched, applique, embroidered: interlaced and running stitches. MOTIFS: kungri, vetarni, vel, ambo, and kali tak. COLOURS : Multicoloured on white. STYLE REMARKS: Applique motifs emulate embroidery patterns. CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE: This quilt is intended for a baby. Traditionally, a woman presents a quilt and some embroidered clothing to her in-laws at the birth of a child. CULTURAL REMARKS: Generally applique is used for a few specific items, such as quilts, cradle cloths, camel trappings, and gharanu. As a fashion, some artisans also make toran and theli in applique.
