CONSTRUCTION: Hand stitched., embroidered , square chain, interlaced, cretan, buttonhole, detached chain, herringbone, stitches. MOTIFS: Deri, vanaphool, popti, makodiyun and kangri butti. COLOURS : Multicoloured on orange and green. STYLE REMARKS: The flowers show Mochi and Ahir influence. Fineness of work and elaborate detailing are typical of Dhebaria work. CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE: Used by men, tied at the end and worn over a wrapped pachhedi, to carry money, usally for a ceremony such as a wedding. The name holo also means mongoose. The prototype money belt was a mongoose skin. CULTURAL REMARKS: The custom has long gone out of fashion. Nolo, Money belt.
