Description MATERIALS: Cotton cloth, cotton threads, mirrors, tassels.
CONSTRUCTION: Hand stitched., embroidered, square chain, couched, romanian, running stitches.
MOTIFS: Popti, makodiyun, mokre, double mokre, gol tak limbudi tak, jharmar , butti, sudo, phuldi betasudo.
COLOURS : Multicoloured on black and white.
STYLE REMARKS: compare to the larger kothalo. The background colours and layout are the same, but there is just a lower broder and the field typically is filled with small figural motifs; same for all three subgroups until the mid 1970's. Placing of small motifs in square motifs was popular during 1970's.
CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE: used to carry smaller dowry items. Several sizes were used for specific functions.
CULTURAL REMARKS: Each size of bag had a specific function and a specific conventional pattern of decoration.
