Description MATERIALS: Cotton cloth, cotton, rayon, metallic thread, mirrors, beads, sequins.
CONSTRUCTION: Hand st., embr : surface chain, double btt.hole rope, couched stitches.
MOTIFS: Gul.
STYLE REMARKS: Pako & muko. Embroidered one side; traditionally both are embroidered.
CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE: Used to carry money or coins with garments, without pockets. The bride would make a vahani & send it garments, without pockets. The bride would make a vahani & send it to her future groom. Male family members wore it during wedding procession. The money was brought to cover expenses of wedding.
CULTURAL REMARKS: Variations throughout Sindh & Pak.
