CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE: Worn braided into hair by young women especially at wedding. Among communities of the Thar Parkar there is a tradition of elaborately braiding hair, after treatin it with a solution of methi and sticky grass.
CULTURAL REMARKS: Women also made braided ropes for kapadu, ghaghro ties by sprang technique.
