Description MATERIALS: Cotton cloth, chemical dyes.
CONSTRUCTION: Bandhani, chemical dyed made in two pieces stitched in centre.
MOTIFS: Boders of three dots alternating with one dot and flower and vine. Field is grid with circles at joints.
COLOURS : Yellow, white, green on maroon and black.
STYLE REMARKS: The grid pattern for field is common. Compare to MSC-16, MSC-17 and MSC-41. Bandhani was later copied in cheaper block print See MSC-16.
CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE: This more elaborate bandhani was worn on special occasions.
CULTURAL REMARKS: Colour scheme is same as bagido, yellow and green dyes were applied after opening bandhani. These dyes are fuitive. This bandhani employs some double tying of dots.
