Description MATERIALS: Cotton cloth.
CONSTRUCTION: Hand block printed, resist dyed, chemical dyes.
MOTIFS: Floral butos, clusters of dots and flower and vine borders.
COLOURS : Maroon with white print.
STYLE REMARKS: Borders similar to MSC-21. Even dots and butti bear resemblance to MSC-24. It is a regional similarity.
CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE: Worn by elders of Khumbhar, Lohana and Oswal communities. Maroon is generally colours of elders.
CULTURAL REMARKS: The main difference between this and MSC-21 is colour. Stitched into a skirt with a waist band rand ather than wrapped.
