Description 
MATERIALS: Cotton cloth. CONSTRUCTION: Hand block printed, resist dyed chemical dye. Pink colour is added directly on top of white pattern. MOTIFS: Morendi no suo, morendi no sar , morendi no chhedo, morendi kandeli, morendi no gul. COLOURS : maroon, black and pink. STYLE REMARKS: Derived from Bandhani. Application of bright colours, often fugitive, on block printed or bandhani cloth is considered auspicious. Again feld area has diagonal grid, similar to that of Matheran and Doriyo. CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE: Worn by young Ahir women at last Aanu ceremony when they go to inlaws' home. The sua rests on head when worn, and is thought to have protective power. Traditionally Ahir women wear black after marriage. CULTURAL REMARKS: Name Morendi comes from Mor or peacock, a pattern which have since been discarded. Morendi.
