Description MATERIALS: Cotton cloth, cotton and silk threads and mirrors.
CONSTRUCTION: Hand stitched, embroidered, square chain, detached chain, buttonhole filling, buttonhole, interlaced, herringbone and double buttonhole stitches.
MOTIFS: Popti, goltak and gotto.
COLOURS : Multicoloured on red .
STYLE REMARKS: Sudo and gotto are derieved from Mochi embroidery. Note that hindoni and mirror are done with two different technique.
CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE: The piece is specifically designed to fit the triangular shape at the back of a camel saddle. It is particular to Dhebarias.
CULTURAL REMARKS: For ceremonial occasions, a camel was elaborately decorated with set of embroidered, appliqued and twined trappings.
