Description 
MATERIALS: Woollen cloth. CONSTRUCTION: Plain woven with coloured patterns in warp and weft supplementary weft patterning. Woven in two parts and stitched in middle. Warp ends are finished braiding and knotting. MOTIFS: Geometrical motifs in borders and edges. COLOURS : Black and white STYLE REMARKS: The difference between this katho and kathi (R58) is patterning on the long sides and stripes in body. Black was originally natural black. Woven patterns are similar to those used for women in ludi. CULTURL SIGNIFICANCE: Worn by man as blandet and shawl in winter. The blandet with side borders such as these, called a dhablo or lobdi, is traditional to Gujarat and Rajasthan. Thirteen communities, Mostly pastoralists, who traditionally use this type of blanket are understood to hold equal status in the caste hierarchy. They are called ''dhablibhai.'' CULTURAL REMARKS: Tradionally this was always black and white where as R-58 kathi was dyed red for younger man. Men use the khatho comes from Sindhi. Khatho, Man's shoulder coth.
