Description 
|
MATERIALS: Cotton cloth possibly vegetable dyes.
CONSTRUCTION: Hand woven with patterning in colour and also stripes of weft faced weave. It is hand spun and handloom. Base is plain weave 2/1 weave.
MOTIFS: One end has 112cms of patterning while other has 75cms of patterning.
COLOURS : Natural with shades of brown.
STYLE REMARKS: This warp faced weave patterning was particularly used for turbans in this region and Saurashtra. See also R-43.
CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE: Used by elders for ceremonial occasions.
CULTURAL REMARKS: Different versions are used by each Rabari subgroup. The oldest were wool. Name refers to patterning of cloth rather then usage.
