MATERIALS: Buttons, tassels, cotton cloth, beads, sequins, metal frame, net.
CONSTRUCTION: Hand stitched, three bead net.
MOTIFS: No
COLOURS : Multicoloured with white predominant.
STYLE REMARKS: Beadwork is practiced in all three subgroups. Kachhi style is simpler, while Dhebaria tends to be more elaborate.
CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE: The fan ralates to royalty. Used ceremonially during wedding rites. Rabari also used embroiderd fans Used among other communities who originated in Rajasthan.
CULTURAL REMARKS: Beadwork is considered precious. Beaded ornaments, especially for children, are today hardly produced. Rabaris consider that good beads are often not available or are too costly.
