Description MATERIALS: Cotton cloth, cotton threads, mirrors button, hoocks, tassels .
CONSTRUCTION: Hand stitched., Embroidered , square chain, interlaced, cretan, herring bone , detached chain , button hole filling, romanian, button hole, double button hole and back stitches.
MOTIFS: Deri, butti, ghodi-goto, kachbo-phul, limbadi tak, popti, makodiyun, tak bawaliyun.
COLOURS : Multicoloured on red, white and black.
STYLE REMARKS: Bolder motifs and heavy reliance on chain stitch characterize the middle style of Kachhi Rabaris.
CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE: The batuvo is folded and tucked into the waist. It was used by both men and women at ceremonial occasions to carry tobacco, pan, change.
CULTURA REMARKS: Such pieces have not been in use for more than fifteen years.
